Matthew Davis is a writer who lives in Washington, D.C. He is the author of When Things Get Dark: A Mongolian Winter’s Tale and the founder of the Cheuse Center for International Writers at George Mason University. His book about Mt. Rushmore, and how we memorialize American history, will be published in 2025.
